FEDERAL JUDGE RULES FOR NSBA IN SUIT AGAINST TREASURY
The first battle has been won, but the fight looms on, and we need your support.
In November 2022, NSBA filed suit against Treasury over the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). On Friday, March 1, 2024, Judge Liles Burke ruled in NSBA’s favor, halting enforcement of the CTA for NSBA members.
Unfortunately, FinCEN has said they will continue full-throttle ahead in enforcing an unconstitutional law that will harm millions of American small businesses.
NSBA will continue fighting our fight in the courts as well as urging lawmakers to see the CTA for what it is: a massive burden on small businesses that simply will not accomplish the goal of stemming money-laundering.
Any contribution you can make is a HUGE help - $50, $100, $1,000, and your funds will go to support NSBA’s efforts on behalf of the small-business community.
