Just months after delegates at Small Business Congress set NSBA’s Priority Issues for the 119th Congress, NSBA helped secure major tax wins with permanency. These victories benefit small business owners across the country, not just NSBA members.

Defeating the Corporate Transparency Act
NSBA led the charge against the Corporate Transparency Act by filing the first national lawsuit against the U.S. Department of the Treasury. That lawsuit helped halt CTA compliance requirements for small businesses while NSBA continues to press the case in court and in Congress. This is another major win for NSBA’s member driven Priority Issues
- Filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on the NSBA lawsuit
- Pressed Congress and the Administration to recognize the burden on small businesses
- Administration rescinded major portions of the law, halting compliance requirements
