Action and Wins for Small Business highlighted in NSBA's 2025 midyear report.

A message from NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken:

08 JULY 2025 | I want to personally thank you for your support of NSBA and share with you some of the amazing work we’ve done as a result. Long story short: we’re achieving a lot of success on our key small-business priorities.

The first part of 2025 has been a busy one for NSBA. In addition to leading the charge against the Corporate Transparency Act both in the courts and on Capitol Hill, NSBA was successful in getting the administration to roll back CTA enforcement to ONLY foreign companies. I cannot emphasize enough what a major win this is for NSBA as the leading organization fighting the CTA. It is also a major win for all small U.S. businesses – but we’re not done. We’ll continue fighting for the proverbial final nail in the coffin of the CTA.

NSBA also has been out front urging lawmakers and the administration to pursue fairness in taxation by extending the tax cuts for small businesses that are set to expire at the end of 2025. ONLY the smallest firms in the U.S. will get a tax increase after 2025 unless Congress acts. You voted this your #1 priority and we’ve been working nonstop on it.

Cementing our reputation as a nonpartisan, pragmatic, member-driven small-business organization, NSBA has been the voice of reason on countless issues, including the rotating door of increased tariffs, dwindling economic security and major cuts—or rumors thereof—to federal agencies, including SBA.

We know the challenges you’re facing, and we greatly appreciate you making NSBA one of your priorities.

Best,

Todd
