BREAKING NEWS | SCOTUS Reverses Nationwide Injunction Over Corporate Transparency Act (CTA)

NSBA stands firmly for Small Business against the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).

JAN. 23 | It appears the Supreme Court of the United States has granted a stay of the nationwide injunction that was in effect over the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).

This reversal of the reversal of the nationwide injunction could permit Treasury and FinCEN to enforce Beneficial Ownership Information filings due under the CTA.

A filing exemption for NSBA members in good standing on or before March 1, 2024, secured in another federal court case, remains in effect.

We are closely monitoring announcements from FinCEN related to potential reinstatement of BOI reporting requirements due under the CTA with this SCOTUS ruling.

This is a developing matter.

Follow NSBA for the latest from the Court and Congress on the CTA.
